Gift money in College

I used to get money as gifts all my childhood, to spend against chocolates, clothes or anything else I liked. I always wanted to get things for myself, but I was always asked to put it in bank to get something big later. Over the years this money accumulated.

Later I found out that money was used to fund my college expenses.

I only found out once it was all spent.
